Swingin' Blues Night

With another full house at Harborough Blues, we were treated to the amazing guitar and upright bass skills of Jim and Serena as Swing Noir. Their act was polished and varied and responsive to the house - to the delight of the audience.

Both artists demonstrated their incredible musical skills AND enviable voices. Pitched perfectly to the crowd, their repertoire stood out as a wonderful evening of musical entertainment. Calls for more - as usual - at the end of the sets invoked one last crescendo of swinging blues. Lots of handshaking and congratulations, merchandise sales and everybody went home very happy - including the band.

Sunjay Returns!

Yet to be confirmed for Wednesday 3 December 2025, we have negotiated the return of Sunjay, our very first act at Harborough Blues.

Back in November 2024, Sunjay set us off on a journey that has been extremely rewarding and has brought some of the best blues artists to the cosy wine bar venue of Louisa's Place in Market Harborough, UK.

Because of anticipated demand, we are looking at ways to cater for the numbers we expect will require tickets. Many of the audience have become regulars with some attending every show. Please keep an eye out for announcements about this special event and all our other events in the diary.

Swing Noir have an international reputation and it's no surprise that the local following has stepped up.

"Future shows in the calendar are selling fast and typically sell out well before the event date. We are blown away by the response of local music fans and their appetite for great blues artists in the fantastic wine bar atmosphere at Louisa's Place." - Ian Preston, organiser.

If you are up for a great midweek night out, please be sure to check out the shows in the diary at Ticket Source.

Zoë Schwartz Standing Ovation

An outstanding, entertaining and professional performance by leading UK blues duo Zoë Schwartz and Rob Koral drew a standing ovation and calls for 'more!' from yet another full house at Louisa's Place.

In this the third of the Harborough Blues events, Zoë and Rob immediately connected with the audience with their stories and elite stage presence, blessing us with old blues standards and original material that we could all relate to.

"There's something about a small, intimate venue and show where the performers and audience share the same space and atmosphere." - Guest.

It is rewarding in itself to hear that all three of the inaugural acts at Harborough Blues have asked to come back and see us again.

New Venture Sells All Tickets

Harborough Blues is a new venture to bring the best of live blues music to Market Harborough and has exceeded expectations in its first three months, selling all tickets.

Run by volunteers on a not-for-profit basis, the first three gigs were in November and December last year, followed by February this year, featuring the sensational guitarwork of Sunjay, the fantastic duo of Mark Cole and Liam Ward, and the sumptuous vocals and guitar of Zoë Schwarz and Rob Koral.

Gigs are usually held on the first Wednesday of each month at Louisa's Place wine bar in St Mary's Road, Market Harborough, UK.

One of the organisers, Simone Apel, said, "We are a group of enthusiasts who really wanted to bring the best of blues music to Harborough. It's so heartening that people have turned out to hear top-quality live music."

Ian Scott, owner of Louisa's Place said, "We're really happy to support this new venture. It's been great to see Louisa's full for these events."
