Twice UK blues awards finalist Dave Ferra and Chris Berry spent many years playing in the US and together they are Porch Swing Blues.
Dave Ferra (guitar, slide, harmonica and vocals) plays and sings blues, ragtime and spirituals, accompanying himself on guitar, slide and rack harmonica. As a solo artist Dave plays throughout the UK. His most recent CD Lies and Gin made it to Number 1 on the Independent Blues Broadcasters’ playlist chart.
Chris Berry (guitar and vocals) has been a solo artist since the late 60s. Chris also spent two years on the New Orleans music bar and coffee house circuit as a singer/songwriter, and ten further productive years in California and Texas. His fingerpicking blues guitar style combines with a fine bluesman’s voice.
Sister Suzie and Andy Twyman take you on a musical journey through Mississippi and Louisiana, performing music by artists such as Memphis Minnie, Blind Boy Fuller and Elmore James. Guided by a mutual passion for early blues, they evoke the playfulness, power and soul of the music and the people who created it. Their chemistry brings out the mischief and humour in songs of sexual liberation. Their emotional connection with the stories of the early blues performers gives soul to the deep blues and gospel songs they perform. Andy’s nimble and authentic guitar work provides the perfect back drop for Suzie's powerful blues vocals and onstage charm to shine as they come together in Nothing In Rambling.
Bottleneck bluesman, Martin McNeill, sings and plays old-school blues with soul, featuring stunning slide guitar work. He was a finalist in the 2024 UK Blues Awards and runner-up for record of the year in 2020. Martin has appeared at blues and jazz festivals in recent years including Sidmouth, Rye, Swanage, Dart, Dereham and Broadstairs.
